Stage one of the Ashburton Surgery building refurbishment is completed. The first floor has been transformed, and we now have a new suite of administration offices that enables us to move staff from the ground floor to make space to build an addition three consulting rooms on the ground. The team will be moving into their new space over the next few weeks.
Stage two of the refurbishment has now also started; this stage is the building of the first of the new clinical consulting room’s. What used to be our fridge/nursing storage room is now going to be made into a bigger space to accommodate an additional consultation room. This part of the project will have a temporary impact on the patient waiting space and patient flow around the surgery. It is anticipated that we may need to utilise the front foyer area to accommodate our blood pressure monitoring machine and provide additional seating.
We want patients to be aware that the car park has limited space and the surgery waiting room may be colder than normal due to the increased foot fall from our building construction colleagues.
When patients book appointments, please let the team know if you believe a telephone appointment could suit your needs.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience and any disruption these works may cause you when you attend the surgery. We continue to work in close partnership with the building construction company to keep disruption to an absolute minimum, however in order to achieve the desired outcome within realistic timeframes it is inevitable that there will be some impact.
